Indian Wedding Emergency Kit

Every Indian bride should have an emergency kit near her at all times during the wedding day. While we don’t want to frighten you, it is very possible that the back of your earring will fall off or you will spill something on your reception lehnga.

Have someone you trust and who will be with you all day pack these items for you and then keep them with her (or nearby) during the day. You want to cover all bases, but you don’t want your best friend carrying around a backpack everywhere, so we broke the list down into a few sections.

You should keep a purse near you at all times with these items:

Must Have

  • Pain medication (Tylenol, Aspirin, etc.)

  • Band-Aids

  • Water Bottle

  • Eye Drops

  • Wallet, with extra cash

  • Extra earring backs

  • Hair Pins

  • Hand Sanitizer/Wipes

  • Tissues

  • Hair Comb/Brush

  • Safety Pins

  • Perfume

  • Scissors/Tweezers

  • Straws

  • Hair Spray

  • Stain Remover Spray/Wipes

  • Breath Mints/Spray

  • Cell Phone

  • Make-up for touch-ups

  • Mirror

  • Nail File

  • Easy to carry snacks (like granola bars)

  • Camera

  • Wedding Day Agenda


 

Optional

  • Wrinkle-out spray

  • Tampons/sanitary napkins

  • Dental floss

  • Energy drink


 

You should keep with these items in an accessible location, such as a car:

  • Extra set of maps and direction cards

  • Extra contact lenses and solution

  • Vendor contact information and all contract copies

  • Mini sewing kit

  • Comfortable shoes

  • Scotch tape
