The past couple weeks on IndianWeddingSite.com have been all about fashion fashion fashion, and today we are moving on with a beautifully styled Indian wedding themed shoot by
Tamara J Events and
Brian MacStay Photography! The first part of today's shoot was held at the historical
Julia Morgan Ballroom in
San Francisco, CA. Tamara, from
Tamara J Events, chose this venue because of the rich texture and history behind it, with deep mahogany paneled wood walls, glamorous marble foyer, coffered ceilings and beveled mirrored decor providing a perfect backdrop for their shoot.
Model
Sonia Kakkar was dressed in a custom made multi-colored lengha with exquisite kundan style jewelry rimmed with pops of color. To complete her perfect look she adorned glittered platform stilletos. The stand-in groom,
Houman Abouei, modeled a handsome gold men's bridal Sherwani. Both were designed by
SWATI Couture and the unbelievable jewelry was provided by
Reveti Jewels Inc.
Tamara J Events shares the inspiration behind this shoot:
"The design of this shoot was inspired by the colors and flavors of India, saffron, curry, cardamom and indigo and the backdrop is one of San Francisco’s most iconic locations, the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom. Our goal was to salute the deep, beautiful colors that are so entrenched in Indian culture. From the jewels, to the floral to the attire, everything was an explosion of color, texture and brilliance." Next up, part two and a teaser trailer from this styled shoot!
