Indian Wedding Color Inspiration - Valentine's Day Edition

Valentine's day is almost here! With blizzard conditions expected in the northeast today, I wanted to celebrate early by a) buying chocolate as part of the preparations b) eating the aforementioned chocolate c) making a Valentine's day mega palette. If you chose all of the above, you are correct. Red, pink, silver and gold are all gorgeous colors that are perfect for an Indian wedding. Red, the traditional Indian bridal color, couldn't be more fitting for a Valentine's day palette.  Red goes a long way, and it looks fabulous when accented by white, pink, gold or silver. A great way to use this romantic palette is to keep red confined to showcase the main attractions and use pink and gold all over. If you are more into a modern color scheme, red and white with touches of silver is perfect. Not too keen on using red all over? A fabulous pair of red shoes will do the trick.  You don't have to stick with a blue based red, a nice tomato red is also a good way to add warmth to your wedding palette; just take a look at the red and gold lengha and that amazing red and white cake. And of course, you can't go wrong with a centerpiece of fuchsia flowers and crystal.
