Bollywood divas Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, Ameesha Patel, Dia Mirza, Kalki Koechin, Gauhar Khan, Lisa Ray, Ankita Shorey, and Sunny Leone threw open day 1 of the
India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) on Monday July 14, 2014.
Neha Dhupia looking stunning as she walked the ramp for Geetanjali Gems in this eloquent wedding couture. She wore a pink and green lehenga accented with blood red rubies.
Chitrangada Singh stopped the show by walking the ramp with designer
Moni Agarwal’s collection. She was in a coral coloured lehenga choli with a transparent drape thrown over it. She was adorned with two massive diamond necklaces, a trendy kamar-bandh (waistband) sculpted with gold, and a gold nathni. The nose ring completed the bridal look.
Ameesha Patel walked the ramp for Surya Golds in association with Swaroski. The jarao jewellery had a white gold base, and included emeralds and red gemstones, in the floral-patterned princess necklace along with wide handcuff bracelets and jhumkas.
Dia Mirza walked the ramp for Shobha Shringar Jewellers. She took centre stage in an orange and gold lehenga. She was adorned with a diamond mang tikka, diamond necklace with matching chandelier earrings and diamond studded kadas with handcuff bracelets.
Kalki Koechlin walked with and for designer Preeti Jain. The actress looked stunning in a red strapless gown, accented with a beautiful emerald and ruby choker neck piece.
Gauhar Khan was dressed in a white long, free flowing gown by designer Prerana Nagpal. Her neckline was highlighted with sea green stones and diamonds from Indian Institute of Jems and Jewellery. Added to the ensemble was a white and gold crown and bracelets comprised of diamonds and emeralds. Interestingly enough, Gauhar didn’t wear any earrings.
Lisa Ray walked the runway for designer Farah Ali Khan. Graced in a red floor-length gown, she wore blue “ice cube” earrings attached to hoops and tassels with pearls and uncut diamonds complete with a matching bracelet and cocktail ring.
Ankita Shorey walked for Gitanjali Gems. She wore a shimmering white gown, complete with tikka, necklace, earrings and ring.
Sunny Leone walked for jewellery designer Sumit Sawhney with the jewellery brand Apala to showcase the designer's latest collection 'The Royal Tribe'. Taking on the part of the royal tribal queen, she wore a one shoulder black calf-length gown, the bodice of which was embellished with sequins, and the back piece with jade. The gold claw necklace was part of the ensemble, along with a fusion of tribal and royal styles for the earrings, cuff bracelets and headpiece.
Day 2Zarine Khan, Shabani Kashap, Shraddha Kapoor, Divya Khosla, Raveena Tandon, Amyra Dastaur, Pooja Chopra, Zoya Afroz, and Sagarika Ghatge took to the ramp.
Zarine Khan walked the ramp for Swarovski. She wore an exquisite red and orange lengha choli, heavy gold jewellery complete with matha-patti and nath.
Shabani Kashap walked for Aks Jewels and sang for all in attendance. She wore a black dress with a heavy pearls necklace, earrings, and bracelet ensemble.
Shraddha Kapoor walked the ramp for Geetanjali Gems. Wearing a pink and green gown she not only walked the ramp but also sang for the crowd. She donned a sleek necklace of diamonds and purple gems.
Divya Khosla walked the ramp for PN Gadgil. She wore a white crop top with matching skirt and sported a four layered diamond and pearl necklace, with matching earrings and cuff.
Raveena Tandon walked the ramp in a white and gold sheer sari. The two headpieces she wore were fashioned into tiaras. The several necklaces, one layered emerald necklace, a string of beads, one of diamonds, and kundan jewellery were all designed by Dipti Amisha.
Amyra Dastur also walked the ramp for Dipti Amisha. She wore a green and pink lehenga and a gold choker necklace, with matching earrings, maang tikka, and bangles.
Pooja Chopra walked the ramp for Swarovski. She donned a red and white lehenga and wore an uncut diamond choker necklace, with matching earrings, a maang tikka, bangles.
Zoya Afroz also walked the ramp for Swarovksi. He wore a maroon and white bridal ensemble. She donned a choker necklace, with matching earrings, a maang tikka, bangles.
Sagarika Ghatge walked the ramp for Ganjan Jewellers. She wore a triple layered diamond, matching earrings and emerald necklace with a pair of bangles.
