India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 - JJ Valaya

India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 started out with the grand opening show by JJ Valaya. He is known for his theatrical fashion shows and extravagant designs and this show was no exception. The backdrop of a life size replica ship set the scene for the show of a maharaja returning from his travels in Spain. Valaya's fusion of Spanish and Moore motifs with Indian textiles and craft was evident in all of the designs which paraded down the runway. Salwars and lenghas in white, richly embroidered lenghas in deep red and gold, anarkali and lenghas of deep sea teal were the highlight of the show.
