India Couture Week (ICW) - Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Runway Show
India Couture Week kicked off with
Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s vintage bridal collection, Ferozabad. Models walked the ramp, which was designed like a vintage train, in nostalgic, regal collections, which take us back to the royal and colonial days of beauty and romance. We saw a variety of khadi and tulle saris, crystal-embellished poplin pastel kurtas and ghararas, and classic bandhgala and Nehru jackets, which had hand-block prints and embroidered sleeves. Then there were the draped crêpe de Chine kurta-churidars, hand-embroidered Florabotanica and fish scale-embroidered tulle underskirts, accessorized by organza pocket squares to hand-embroidered clutches.
