It’s not everyday that you get to witness a wedding taking place at the Dal Lake, Kashmir. Interestingly, after a really long time, a three day pandit wedding of Pashmeena and Amol was solemnized in the valley. And I must say that the wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. This unique wedding took place at the Centaur Hotel and special kudos to Nikhil Kapur Photogrpahy for doing justice to the stunning valley, and for capturing breathtaking portraits that the couple is going to cherish for the rest of their lives. 
A celebration so special calls for exactly the kind of enthusiasm this traditional Kashmiri dancer exhibits here. Dancing with absolute abandon to folk melodies was perhaps the perfect way to remind one and all of just how unique this wedding is. 
The bride looks every bit as radiant as the occasion demands. Sitting amidst her loved ones, enjoying the umpteen ceremonies of Kashmiri culture, she was a vision of delight and one can see that here. May the Gods preserve her happiness.
There is something so poetic about this Kashmiri-pandit wedding taking place in a local houseboat. With elaborate decorations and a merry crowd within, the venue itself was something to behold. It goes without saying that each guest took back some wonderful memories from this wedding ceremony. 
If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one requires no words at all. The loving bond shared by the bride and her kin is beautifully captured in this well-timed shot. Kudos to the photographer for bringing such sentiments to the screen. 
This wedding was not just the union of two souls but also a celebration of Kashmiri culture. The attention to detail and enthusiasm in performance of rituals was palpable. As the day proceeded, more and more relatives poured in to bless the couple and contribute to their happiness in every which way. 
The camera doesn't lie, they say. The honest intensity of Amol and Pashmeena's love is impossible to miss here. One of the most romantic moments of the day has been immortalized on film and the happy couple is sure to cherish this snap forever!
