India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 - Ashima Leena

"Aarap," the collection presented by Ashima & Leena at India Bridal Fashion Week 2013, was a showcase of romantic bridal wear. Beautiful colors of red, orange, green and blue brocade woven with metallic and gold thread, deliberately eliminating the need for extraneous embroidery or stone work. This was a very different collection with a definite vintage wear vibe. Structured yet flowing silhouettes of lenghas, jackets, dhoti and paneled lenghas looked refined, elegant but most importantly comfortable. A show-stopping gorgeous Nargis Fakhri glided down the runway in an exquisite lengha in mettalic gold and red brocade. These gorgeous classic garments would be lovely for the bride desiring a wedding trousseau that's traditional, modern with minimal beadwork and embroidery.
