Nushin and Fayaz consider themselves to be a mix of traditional and modern. As per tradition, the ceremony took place at Nushin’s childhood mosque in
Pico Rivera. However, breaking with today’s commonplace tradition, the couple also decided to recite their own vows in Arabic. Nushin & Fayaz and their family wore traditional Indian outfits complemented by guests from all around the world with in a mix of Indian, Arabic, Western and African wear. The ceremony was simple and beautiful, with close family friends reciting traditional celebratory
qasidas to commemorate the event.

The bride's beautiful white and gold sari, flowers and elegant yet understated makeup evoked the stunning Bollywood actresses of yesteryear. I adore the vintage vibe of the bride's look. Fayaz kept his sherwani elegant and understated in creme tonal stripes with a touch of gold. Don't they look gorgeous in coordinating colors? Making a grand exit in style, the couple was swept away in a classic vintage car.
