Because the couple comes from Hindu and Muslim backgrounds, they opted for a simple civil ceremony in Mumbai. At a wedding party later that night, the bride wore a grey Manish Malhotra lehnga with a maroon and gold border. Imran opted for a black bandhgala by Karan Johar-Varun Bahl. What do you think of Avantika's outfit choice? I think she looks beautiful, and I'm overjoyed that she decided to at least wear a necklace this time!

Here's something you didn't know. Not unlike many other grooms-to-be, Imran had little to no input on his big wedding day plans. He was busy shooting a new movie during most of the planning process. But Avantika did not have to stress for long as none other than Karan Johar himself stepped in to help her plan this fabulous wedding. He wasn't happy with some of the ideas Avantika had so made some changes and became the unofficial wedding planner. Everything from the food to the designing of the couples' wedding outfits was under his control!

I don't know about you, but it would be my dream come true to have Mr. Karan Johar plan my wedding! Maybe we can get him to do a giveway when he takes a break from directing all those fabulous Bollywood love stories =)
