CT Multicultural Indian Wedding - Shilpa and Ron (6)

For the finale of Shilpa and Ron's wedding, I wanted to highlight the bride's personal touches. Every bride wants her wedding to be unique, and this is easily doable by recognizing your talents, and the talents of those close to you. Shilpa's goal was to make her guests feel comfortable and cozy and she achieved this by putting her heart into everything from the stationery to the hair accessories.

Here are a few great DIY ideas to make your wedding feel more personal, regardless of the number of guests.

From the bride: "I looked at a lot of wedding photos and admired everyone's unique details so I began making things for our wedding ranging from table numbers, programs, shadow boxes, ring pillows to all of my hair accessories. In addition, I made hair accessories for friends and family, which looked spectacular and warmed my heart to see.  We wanted our wedding to be warm so we decided to personalize and put as much of ourselves into the wedding as possible, all the while considering what might make our guests most happy and cozy.  I think this paid off more than we imagined because everyone seemed so joyful and loving.  We helped pick out the beautiful flowers, which turned out to be a vibrant detail.  Another favorite detail was including many framed pictures of family, friends, and our ourselves over the years since it added a homey feel."

Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thank you Tina at KSD Weddings Couture Photography for this beautiful submission!
