My husband is from California and I'm originally from New York. If there's something I know a little bit about, it's long distance relationships! I am excited to share with you a beautiful Sikh wedding of a couple who magically (and quite randomly) met during a vacation in Barcelona, Spain, and decided to date long distance (the bride from the states and the groom from England), and eventually move to be together in England. "Never say never" is the motto I've learned since meeting, dating and now marrying my husband. I know I never thought I'd leave New York and much to my surprise, love hits you hard and you're destined to be where your heart is.
Meet Jasmin and Chan. This sweet couple used vintage inspiration throughout their Indian wedding functions. Their
Illinois wedding incorporated stunning hues of soft pinks and royal reds (with pearls and feather details, too!). Enjoy these highlights of their
Sikh wedding ceremony captured by
Almond Leaf Studios.
Jasmin is radiant in this gorgeous pink and lavendar salwar kameez - don't you agree?
Love the details- the boys are adorable and the sign is wonderful and fun!
Can't you just FEEL the genuine love and affection in this shot? PS- the colors are exquisite!
I'm always a fan of shoe shots (so sad I didn't get this shot during my wedding)...great image,

I love the incorporation of the light colors during the day and the rich, royal colors in the evening. Our bride, Jasmin, mentioned that she wanted a 1920s vintage feel to the reception, so she utilized vibrant reds, blacks and golds as her color scheme and adorned the reception hall with gold frames with rose balls hanging in the middle (against a back drape), lace tablecloths, gold candelabras, bouquets of red feathers and strings of pearls. It was classy, vintage-y and uber romantic.
I love that these images have a rustic, outdoorsy feel to them! The couple is definitely the focal point!
Cupcake towers are always so fun!
The couple raved about their fabulous decorator:
Shaadi Creations! I'm obsessed with the backdrop!
The venue had a spectacular 360-degree view of Esplanade Lake and the forest preserve, Morton Arboretum, through the floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center Chicago – Downers Grove ballroom.
