Damask and Red Indian Wedding Reception

Priya and Pankaj's entrance was preceded by a custom film they had created with
Jas Motion to describe how they met (check back in with us on
CineMonday to see it!). Choreographed couple dances are becoming all the rage at Indian wedding receptions and today's couple ran with this trend. While many are not surprised with the bride breaking out in a Bollywood number, the sight of the groom dancing along usually makes a few jaws drop!
From the bride:
"I wanted to have a very clean and unique feel to my reception; hence I stayed away from the traditional floral centerpieces. Instead I got 5 armed crystal candelabras. In each arm we put clear glass votives with tea candles. On top of the candelabras we left dark red rose petals. Each table had a silvery/diamond studded photo frame with the table numbers,and we dressed it up with more dark red rose petals. What made our tables stick out was definitely the velvet black and white damask linen. I searched high and low for the linen and eventually had it flown in from California. The mix of black and white, with deep red and crystal was amazing. We had custom menus made for each guests with his last name initial on to top. For wedding favors, we made a donation to Bideawee. We had tent cards done with a picture of our 3 year old dog Cairo. We wanted to include him in our celebration and felt this was a great way of doing it."
