NY Jewish Hindu Wedding Ceremony - Purva & David III

From a brief look at our database of members, I know that many of you are also planning Hindu and Jewish weddings - or "HinJew" weddings as they're often called. I love the way the wedding coordinators at savvyplanners.com™ described this dual ceremony:

"The ceremony itself was held under a mandap, a Hindu ceremonial canopy that turns the whole area under it into a symbolic altar. This served also as the Jewish chuppah, which symbolizes the bride and groom's new home. Interestingly, both faiths center around the home, rather than the house of worship, which means that home and altar are very much one and the same."

The bright mandap was designed by Elegant Affairs and I can't imagine anything more perfect for this wedding.

Love all the little details Ryan Jensen Photography picked up and took the time to photograph! We'll be back tomorrow with the conclusion of this beautiful New York wedding.
