Fusion New Jersey Indian Wedding by Idalia Photography

Today we're featuring the multicultural wedding of Reema and Eric by Idalia Photography. Reema and Eric were married in an outdoor ceremony at the Brooklake Country Club. The bride and groom were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony under a vibrant mandap and then changed for their portrait session and reception.

Idalia Photography did such a wonderful job especially considering this was their first ever Indian wedding! They were on hand to capture all of the key moments and their composition in the portrait shoot is just stunning.

I am such a sucker for the shoe shot! I love the contrast between the bride's mehndi, the stark white wedding gown and jeweled shoes- in my opinion these are always frame-worthy! I am also having major dress and jewelry envy of all the bridesmaids. The different shades of coral with the turquoise jewelry pop are perfect for an outdoor ceremony!

"As soon as we met Reema and Eric we immediately connected with them and were beyond excited that they trusted us to photograph our first Hindu wedding ceremony. All throughout the wedding planning process, Reema took the time to explain the customs and traditions that we would document on their wedding day and we loved learning about every single element of an Indian wedding day. From the lively arrival of the groom during the Baraat to the exchange of garlands, to the tearful farewell to the bride by Bidai, every element of their wedding day was emotional. Their ceremony took place under a vibrant and colorful mandap where we had the privilege of documenting the fascinating rituals and traditions of Reema’s family. After their ceremony, Reema changed into a beautiful white gown and Eric into a khaki suit, perfect for their portraits on the golf course and then they celebrated their marriage with one of the most energetic groups of family and friends that we’ve ever met. My favorite part of the reception was the Bollywood-themed dance and skit that Reema and Eric’s friends and family prepared for them. It was just one of the many ways that everyone showed the couple how loved they are. "
