Hi readers! Today we are featuring a beautiful multicultural wedding filled with sentimental details. Our couple, Kendra and Neal, were married in an outdoor ceremony at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch
Before we dive into the photos I have to share the sweetest story Kendra told us about the importance of incorporating hummingbirds into her special day (and the irony of getting married at a place called Hummingbird Nest Ranch!
"I've always believed that hummingbirds were good omens and the ranch is fluttering with them. My grandmother passed away 2 years ago and we were extremely close. I'd say we were kindred spirits. In the months leading up to my husband's proposal, I felt her presence often and knew that great things were about to happen because I was constantly seeing little hummingbirds. One even brushed up against my cheek and they were a welcome site sitting outside my window. I folded large origami hummingbirds to hang with orchids behind the alter. In all, I folded about 250 hummingbirds. My husband is an art director, so we were able to design our save the dates, invites, programs, labels and escort cards exactly the way we wanted, being sure to carry through the origami hummingbird theme."
Love love love weddings with originality and sentimental touches! Stay tuned, next we get a close up of the bride and groom's wedding ceremony outfits.
