Long Island Hindu Wedding by B&B Photography

We rarely come across a Hindu wedding in America that happens at night but Priya and Pankaj had just that as their mahurat was scheduled for 10:30pm. The night baraat arrived at 8pm and was followed by the traditional Milni. Guests were served dinner prior to the ceremony and then enjoyed chai and dessert half way through the wedding. The Hindu ceremony ended after midnight and after fulfilling all customs and traditions, the couple finally called it a night at 3pm. The Christian ceremony was held the following day at the Greentree Counry Club in New Rochelle.

We love the special attention the bride paid to designing her bridal look:

"I wore a couture pink sari by Geetanjai Singh for the Hindu Ceremony. The blouse was a corset blouse, with long net sleeves. A separate dupatta was made with a heavy matha patti to cover my head. The sari was slightly mermaid cut and form fitting. Pankaj was in an off-white couture sherwani by Geetanjali Singh, with pink and crème dupatta to match me. His turban, sehera and kalgi were custom made for him in India. Groomsmen were in deep orange/brown kurte with red dupattas and bridesmaids were in champagne chiffon saris."

I couldn't get over the portraits taken by BnB Photography - completely head over heels in love! The romance between the couple is overflowing in these shots and I had to give them some special attention. I can't imagine how Priya and Pankaj are going to decide which ones to enlarge for their home!
