We have been featuring a few beautiful interfaith weddings on IndianWeddingSite.com this past week. But this is the first time we're featuring a wedding that belongs to SO many different categories!
From the bride, Asha:
"We intended our wedding day to represent the fusion of our lives into one. Given our mixed Indian, American, European, Hindu, Unitarian and Jewish backgrounds, we wanted a wedding that not only represented our multi-cultural backgrounds but ultimately represented us."We're kicking off the wedding celebrations with a beautiful Sangeet captured by
Uma Sanghvi Photography. More details from the bride at the end!
From the bride:
"The party the night before the wedding was intended to be a grand welcome for our approximately 200 guests. The fusion Rehearsal Dinner / Indian Sangeet was held at the main hotel, the Peabody of Little Rock. A large banquet hall, including a decorated balcony that overlooked the Arkansas River, was decorated with blue and purple flowers, ribbons, and other décor. Throughout the evening, guests visited the traditional Indian sangeet station, complete with mehndi artists, bangles, and bindis. The highlight of the evening was a fun and fabulous narrated slideshow by our respective little brothers. Nikhil’s closest friends then said a few words in honor of the momentous occasion. We were so pleased that the night ended with raucous and fun-filled dancing among all of our guests; from conga-lines to boisterous bhangra, we and our guests had an absolute blast!"Photography -
