It's been a long wait for all Deepika and Ranveer fans out there- but it's finally done. The two stars have tied the knot in an extravagant, private affair at Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy.
The couple kicked off their wedding preparations with a nandi puja, a traditional konkani ceremony at the actress’ home in Bangalore. She chose to wear a bright orange Sabyasachi suit for the occasion, while her hair was tied back neatly in a low chignon. Her makeup looked stunning as she wore a smokey eye, along with huge chaand baalis. The chand baalis were intricately designed, with big pearl drops hanging at the bottom. Deepika chose to accessorize with a tiny bindi.
Her mother and sister were dressed in light ecrus and shades of beige, complimented perfectly with sets of pearls. Deepika’s sister, Anisha, wore a gorgeous cream suit, while her mother wore a saree in a similar shade. We loved Anisha’s huge earrings and Ujjala Padukone’s pearl set.
As for the destination wedding itself, we hear they couple tied the knot in a Konkani affair, and a separate Sindhi one. At the konkani mandap, Deepika can be seen sporting a heavy silk Sabyasachi saree and a beautifully designed maathapatti as she shares a laugh with Ranveer, who can be seen wearing a white sherwani, also by Sabyasachi.
At the Sindhi mandap, the couple seems to be sharing their love for red as they sport a sherwani-suit and a lehenga-saree in bright red, again by Sabyasachi. We can’t stop gushing over Deepika’s kaleeras!
