Ikhwan and Alicia met through mutual friends at Baruch college in New York City. After five years of dating, Ikhwan decided to pop the question during a family vacation.

“I proposed to her on the back of a cruise ship at sunset. It was the day the ship had captain’s reception where the men dressed up in suits and the women in dresses. I got down on one knee and presented the ring. My whole family was watching from the level above. They all started clapping and cheering when she said yes so it was both a private and public moment!”

It was very important for Ikhwan and Alicia to include their Indian culture in their wedding, and it definitely made for a beautiful, vibrant portrait session! Alicia wore an intricate lengha with a fully beaded skirt ensuring she sparkled from head to toe. Ikhwan opted for a sherwani and turban which complemented Alicia’s red and white ensemble perfectly!
