Houston Indian Wedding Reception: Priyanka & Sachin IV

For those of you still trying to wind down from the Super Bowl, you'll love this football influenced wedding reception. Priyanka and Sachin went the way of the traditional Hindu wedding, but they knew they wanted a reception that reflected their own style.
From the bride:
"To keep a happy balance, we decided to have a modern reception on Saturday evening at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston with cocktails, a photo booth, cabanas, and trendy lounge beats all night long thanks to my friend DJ Yogi-G. We made a grand entrance into the reception with my cousins blowing into vuvuzelas as it was during the World Cup. Our friends loved the cabanas at the reception which gave the evening a lounge like feel."
I love the lounge these two set up near the stage. Why make your guests hang out at the bar - give them their own lounge within your ballroom!
Now, it can get tricky when you have a passion for a sport and want to make it a part of your wedding. Priyanka and Sachin pulled it off beautifully by devoting their cake to the Texas Longhorns.
"Since we are die hard Longhorns, we had a University of Texas themed cake which we cut to our school song, “The Eyes of Texas”. I had the cake topper of Sachin and me in our superstitious game day attire specially made by Lily Tsai. We had Longhorn and football shaped cookies served with shots of milk!"
