Today we're back with the absolutely festive multicultural wedding of Sasha and Kabir, captured by their talented photographer,
Harper Point Photography. Sasha and Kabir were married in an outdoor Hindu ceremony in
Fort Collins, Colorado. The beautiful Russian bride, Sasha, totally embraced the essence of an Indian wedding by adorning exquisite mehndi on her hands, a traditional matha patti and necklace, as well as a patterned red lengha choli. Kabir matched his bride in a cream colored Achkin with red turban and white shades as they both rode into the ceremony together in a decorated white carriage- talk about a fairytale come true! Aside from the bride and groom, I need to give the best dressed award to Sasha and Kabir's dhol player- if that outfit doesn't put you in an immediate joyous mood I don't know what will!

"The wedding ceremony took place in a mandap or wedding alter. In this case, an eighteenth century wrought iron gazebo was transformed for the event. It was decorated with a canopy, flowers, elegant gold and burgundy drapery and an 18k gold painting of Ganesha, the Hindu god of wisdom and salvation. Custom designed mandap furniture and four chori represented North, South, East and West. In the center was a sacred fire (Agni) which received holy offerings. An ancient ceremony performed by a priest in Sanskrit ensued."
