Farrah and Ali

How They Met
July 3, 2006

Farrah met Ali during her senior year of college. Although they had crossed paths multiple times during their overlap at UCLA, it was not until Ali met Farrah off-campus that sparks flew. The two struck up a conversation at her cousin's wedding in 2006...where she asked him to dance!

Ali met Farrah after completing his first year of medical school. He crashed a wedding only his older brother was invited to, and the rest is history. He first noticed her when she sang "Amazed" by Lonestar, a country song she performed that evening.

The Proposal
April 10, 2010

Fast forward four years! This couple overcame medical school, a move to Chicago, graduate school, and being long distance  on top of their individual life and career demands.

The couple decided to "unplug" and unwind from their busy and hectic lives and enjoy the natural beauty of the central coast. So, Ali took Farrah on a vacation to Big Sur, California. They spent the entire weekend in a cabin with no internet or cell phone reception, went hiking to the waterfall and the beach, bathed in natural hot springs, and simply enjoyed each other's company.

Ali had kept the ring in his pocket for an entire day before deciding to propose to Farrah over dinner at the Nepenthe Restaurant in Big Sur, CA. He insisted they wait forty minutes for the best table and it was worth it ... beautiful ocean views surrounded the couple as Ali got down on one knee and Farrah said "Yes!"

Many restaurant goers came forward to congratulate the couple, and free drinks from the owner did not hurt either! ;) It was a beautiful night!

Ali and Farrah will celebrate their engagement Saturday, April 24th, 2010 with close family at Farrah's parents house in Bakersfield, CA.
